一．法规常识
一、《中华人民共和国外国人入境出境管理法》的有关规定：
1. 留学生在中国期间需随身携带护照。
2. 持 X1 签证来中国的外国人，应于入境后 30 日内到公安局出入境管理总队申请办理外国人居留许可。按照中国法律规定，如在原签证有效期内没有办理居留证件或签证延期手续，属非法居留。非法居留者将受到公安机关处罚或遣送回国，处罚每超期一天，处罚500元人民币（处罚上限为10000元人民币）。
3. 持有 X2 签证的留学生，在签证有效期内出境（包括去中国香港、台湾和香港）并需返回中国的，应在出境前至少 20 个工作日向公安局出入境管理总队申请办理返回中国的签证。
4. 按规定及时办理居留许可申请或 X2 签证的延长，过期未办将受到处罚。
5. 来华入境居住在校外的留学生，应在 24 小时内，到当地公安机关办理临时住宿登记手续。
二、根据《中华人民共和国集会游行示威法》的规定，外国人在中国境内未经主管机关批准不得举行并参加集会、游行、示威。
三、下列均是违反《中华人民共和国治安管理处罚条例》的行为：
1. 结伙打架、寻衅滋事、侮辱妇女或者进行其他流氓活动：卖淫、嫖娼以及介绍卖淫嫖娼；
2. 违反中国政府禁令，贩卖、携带、吸食、注射毒品（包括鸦片、海洛因、冰毒、吗啡、大麻、可卡因以及国家规定管制的其他能够使人形成瘾癖的麻醉药品和精神药品）；
3. 故意损坏公私财物、偷窃、骗取、抢夺公私财物；
4. 无证驾驶，酒后驾驶，或者把机动车辆交给无驾驶证的人驾驶；
四、丢失物品
发生个人财物丢失、被窃事件，首先要保护好现场（如果有现场），并及时向校方（国际学院办公室和学校保卫处）或公安机关（当地派出所或公安局外管处）报案。留学生的护照丢失后，要及时到公安局出入境管理处办理报失手续。
五、住在校内留学生宿舍的留学生，要遵守会客登记制度，不能随意在宿舍留宿客人。
六、保险
留学生在注册报到时，必须按照教育部的有关规定购买中国平安人寿保险股份有限公司的相关保险。留学生在中国时应遵守中国的法律、法规和学校的规章制度；
同时，在华留学生也受这些法律法规的保护。

Ⅰ. Laws and Regulations
I. Regulations on Entry and Exit of Foreigners in People’s Republic of China (PRC)
1. International students shall keep their passport with them at all times during the stay in China.
2. Foreigners holding X1 visa shall apply for residence permit within 30 days after their entry at the Exit and Entry Administration Division of Beijing Public Security Bureau .
3. If International students holding X2 visa plan to leave the mainland of China and return within the valid date of their visa, they shall apply for a re-entry 20 working days before leaving.
4. International students shall apply for residence permit or extend their X2 visa in accordance with the regulations in time. Any delay will incur punishment.
5. International students residing outside of the campus shall apply at the local public security bureau for temporary residence registration within 24 hours upon arrival.
II. According to Law s on Assemblies and Demonstrations in PRC, foreigners, without the permission of the competent authorities, shall not organize or participate in assemblies, processions or demonstrations in the territory of China
III. Acts against PRC Law on Public Security
1. Gang-fighting, humiliating or harassing others or engaging in 2 prostitution;
2. Selling, carrying, taking or injecting drugs;
3. Stealing, defrauding, forcibly seizing, or intentionally destroying public or private property;
4. Driving without a driver’s license, drunk driving or lending motor vehicles to unlicensed drivers.
IV. If students lost their property or if it gets stolen, students shall first keep the scene intact, and then report it to the university (School of International Education and Security Department) or the local public security bureau immediately. If students lose their passport, they should report the loss to the Exit and Entry Administration Division of Beijing Public Security Bureau immediately
V. If students who live on campus have visitors; they should register the guests at the front desk and should not keep visitors over night.
VI. According to the provisions of the Ministry of Education, International students must purchase insurance provided by China Life Insurance Company during registration in the university. International students shall obey and therefore protected by Chinese laws and university regulations

二．在华期间注意事项
一、来华入境后，需要尽快办理住宿登记
（一）若入住酒店，可由酒店办理。
持有效护照或其他国际旅行证件在酒店前台办理。
（二）若入住其他地方，须在 24 小时内向居住地派出所申报。
携带有效护照或其他国际旅行证件、租房合同或房产证到居住地派出所办理。
二、在华生活期间，需要关注以下事项
（一）关注签证有效期。
持签证入境，计划在中国境内工作、生活的，自入境之日起 30 日内根据条件换成居留许可；若需要延长签证停留期限的，应当在签证注明的停留期限届满 7 日前向停留地县级以上地方人民政府公安机关出入境管理部门申请，按照要求提交申请事由的相关材料。
（二）关注居留许可有效期。
居留许可期满后继续停留的，需在有效期满前 30 日申请延期。持有效居留许可，若更换新护照或其他居留证件登记事项发生变动的，需在 10 日内到公安机关出入境管理部门申请办理信息变更。
（三）其他注意事项。
1、在中国社交平台留言需遵守中国法律法规。
2、养狗、猫等宠物要遵守相关规定。
3、请勿拍摄军事设施，包括国家直接用于军事目的的建筑、场地和设施。
三、在华工作生活快速获取帮助事项
人身或财产受到侵害时，请拨打 110。
发现火灾时，请拨打 119。
需要急救时，请拨打 120。
护照遗失时，请立即向遗失地派出所报失。
Ⅱ. Notes
I. Residence registration needs to be completed after entry into China as soon as possible
(I)For foreigners staying in a hotel, residence registration can be handled by the hotel. Foreigners can register residence by presenting a valid passport or other international travel documents at the hotel reception.
(II) Foreigners,who stay else where, need to register residence at the local police station within 24 hours after arrival.
Foreigners can register your residence at the local police station by presenting a valid passport or other international travel documents, along with the rental contract or immovable property rights certificate.
II. Matters requiring special attention when foreigners work and live in China
(I) Validity period of visa. Foreigners, who enter China with a visa and plan to work and live in China, need to apply for a residence permit within 30 days from the date of entry according to relevant requirements. If an extension of the duration of stay specified in the visa is required, the application should be submitted to the exit and entry administration authority of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level in the place of residence, at least 7 days before the expiration of the duration of stay specified in the visa, with the relevant materials relating to the purpose of the application.
(II) Validity period of residence permit. Foreigners, who need to stay in China after the expiration of residence permits, shall apply for an extension 30 days before the expiration. Foreigners, who hold a valid residence permit and have changed passport or had other items on the residence permit changed, shall apply to the exit and entry administration authority of the public security organ for information change within 10 days from the date the changes occur.
(III) Others.
1. Foreigners must abide by the laws and regulations of China when writing comments on social media in China.
2. Foreigners must comply with relevant regulations when keeping dogs,
cats,and other pets.
3. Foreigners are not allowed to photograph military installations, including
buildings, sites, and facilities directly used by China for military purposes.
III. How to get help in case of emergencies
In case of personal assault or property crimes, please call 110.
In case of fire, please call 119.
In case of first aid, please call 120.
In case of passport loss, please report it to the local police station immediately.
